PILLAR TWO OF THREE

Consulting.

Organizational effectiveness first. Then the AI question every organization is now facing.

I consult on organizational effectiveness: change management, organizational design, leadership and learning, and culture. It is where my training sits, a master's in industrial-organizational psychology, and it is where most of my work happens. The hardest problem in an organization is rarely the plan. It is the people the plan lands on. So I help organizations move toward their strategy by getting people genuinely aligned to it, and by treating change as something individuals live through rather than something a project announces. That starts with human behavior, motivation and culture, and works outward. The second thread is AI, and I am specific about what I am: not an AI engineer, but someone who understands the technology well enough to implement it and to teach it, which is what most organizations actually need. The AI Maturity Model is how I make that concrete.

BUSINESS CONSULTING

Consulting for the core business.

Making a business clearer, better organized, and ready to grow, whether you are a solopreneur building structure for the first time or an established company that has outgrown how it operates.

Organizational Effectiveness & IO

The deepest practice area, and my core discipline through years in the consulting industry: change management, organizational design, learning and development, leadership development, assessments, and human-centered design.

The work runs on the MADE framework (Management, Assessment, Development, Engagement), an IO Psychology lens on how organizations perform and change. In practice that means redesigning roles and decision rights, leading change through to adoption, and building people into the roles you need.

Business Strategy

For solopreneurs and small or growing companies that need a clearer plan and more structure around it. We work through your strategy end to end: what you sell, how you reach and market to the right people, how you price and package it, and how you grow without the whole thing depending on you.

You leave with a plan you can run: sequenced, specific, and built around how your business operates today.

CLIENT ENGAGEMENTS

Who I am working with now.

None of these were only a website. Each one started with the strategy, the market and the vision, and the build comes after that is clear.

DANCE EDUCATION

Zay's BAEs & Company

A Seattle choreographer and dance educator whose training company has been running since 2021. I am consulting on the structure around it: how the brand is owned and organized, what the offers are, and a phased plan toward his 2027 target.

BOUTIQUE RESIDENTIAL

Tempo Apartments

A boutique apartment building in Magnolia, Seattle. The work covers how the property gets found: local search, the words on the page, and being citable by AI assistants, with the marketing site built around that. Currently in build.

HOSPITALITY

The Perch by Magpie's

A luxury eco-retreat lodge planned for Valdez, Alaska. I rebuilt the brand kit, business strategy and growth plan on her real operating model, and pressure-tested the occupancy and rate assumptions behind it. The position it can own: the only high-end, walkable, design-led lodging in town.

A sample of what I have done.

Representative engagements from my consulting career. I can walk through the specifics in a conversation.

Change Management Projects

Led the people side of change management projects across healthcare, technology, and government as a Prosci Certified Change Practitioner, using the ADKAR model.

AI CONSULTING

The AI side of the practice.

Three engagements make it up: maturity assessment and strategy, building custom AI systems, and training teams to use them.

AI CONSULTING · 01

AI Maturity Model & Strategy.

An honest read of where you stand with AI, and what to move first.

Most AI strategy stalls for the same reason: the organization cannot see itself clearly before it decides where to go. The AI Maturity Model is the instrument I use to fix that. Through structured interviews, artifact review, and a calibrated survey, it measures your current state across ten dimensions of AI readiness, at three levels of the organization, against five stages of maturity. The deliverable is a prioritized roadmap: each move in order, with a named owner.

AI Services & Building

When the thing you need does not exist off the shelf, I build it: AI process automation, internal assistants, client-facing tools, and agents that own one specific job end to end.

Each build is scoped to one problem, tested against your live cases, and delivered running in your environment, with a handoff your team can maintain.

AI CONSULTING · 03

AI Learning & Training

The gap between buying AI tools and people using them is training. I help teams build real AI literacy: what these tools are good at, how to work with them, and how to fold them into the way the work already happens.

The goal is a team that uses these tools with confidence and judgment, and keeps those habits after the rollout push fades.

MARKETING STRATEGY & SERVICES

Marketing Strategy & Services

Marketing for local and small businesses, strategy through execution. I start by looking at where you actually stand, then we get the foundation right: a website that earns trust, a search listing that shows up when someone nearby is ready to buy, and a social presence that proves the lights are on.

Once that holds, we talk about what you are trying to grow and build the plan to get there, whether that means paid ads, a commercial worth watching, or a jingle your town repeats back to you.
