About

Creating is at the heart of what I do.

Taking an idea and giving it real form (an app, a business, a book) is where my energy comes from, and it always has been. The other half of the work is people: I coach and consult in places where my background and experience can genuinely move someone forward. Underneath both is the same instinct: understanding how people and systems actually work, and using that to help them work better.

My foundation is academic and deliberately broad: a Master's in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, built on an undergraduate mix of political science, philosophy, and economics. My real education has been hands-on. I've trained athletes, judged physique competition, taught dance, built businesses, and studied how people change. All of it feeds the work I do now.

That's what Zaceos is: everything I've learned, put to work helping people create what matters to them.

THREE THINGS I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED

Learning, creating, and empowering people.

Zaceos is where all three come together as one body of work.

01 / LEARNING

Learning

I learn compulsively, across subjects that aren't supposed to connect. What hooks me is the moment a pattern from one field explains something in another: sports psychology making sense of a business problem, or habit science explaining why a workflow keeps failing. I collect ideas so I can connect them.

02 / CREATING

Creating

I have been making things as long as I can remember, in whatever medium was in reach: drawing, building with my hands, a guitar, a house, a body, choreography. The medium changes and the instinct does not. These days it includes apps, systems, businesses and books too.

03 / EMPOWERING

Empowering

Underneath all of it is people. Whether I'm coaching in a gym, teaching in a dance studio, or consulting inside an organization, the work I care about most leaves a person more capable than I found them.

BACKGROUND

How I got here.

I am Zac Reichert. I started in HR, handling job analysis, workforce planning and the people side of reorganizations at Amazon and F5. From there I moved inside a consulting firm, first producing the market, competitor and industry research behind its strategy and sales work, then into client-facing project consulting, and then into organizational effectiveness: change management, training and development, organizational design. Today I consult on enterprise transformation as a senior consultant, and run Zaceos alongside it.

The work has run through healthcare, biotech and technology, an international confectionery company, a research hospital, a children's hospital, a quick service restaurant and a nonprofit. Different industries, the same problem underneath every time: a change that makes sense on a slide, and then meets actual people. My training is a master's in industrial-organizational psychology from Seattle Pacific and a B.A. in political science, philosophy, economics and psychology from Western Washington, plus Prosci change practitioner and LUMA human-centered design certifications.

Outside the paid work, service has been the constant. I led community initiatives through Seattle Pacific Rotaract, I have given blood more than fifty times, over six gallons, and I have championed diversity and inclusion work since 2017, building the training and the resources behind it. It comes from the same place as the coaching does: leave a person, or a place, better than you found it.
